Recently, the Nature Publishing Group released its latest 2016 Natural index chart (Nature Index 2016 Tables), the NJUPT ranked the 61st among universities in the Mainland China, compared with the previous ranking the school has made a progress of 5 places. Among the top 100 universities of the latest index, there are 15 schools from Jiangsu Province; and 4 of the top 100 universities are reputed in the specialization of electronic information, among which the NJUPT ranked No. 2.

It is reported that the scope of the statistical time of the year 2016 natural index update is from May 1st, 2015 to April 30th, 2016.
